        Next Steps: Advancing your career         

    This is the first event in this year’s Auckland Branch Careers Series, aimed at providing Institute members with career opportunities beyond the test kitchen, laboratory or factory.

    The Auckland branch committee have bought together three experts, covering organisational leadership, corporate governance and entrepreneurial roles, to share their experiences and provide you with ideas for your next career move. The panellists and the panel discussions will make you think about your career potential and the long term opportunities available to you.

    This event is open to NZIFST Institute members and their guests. The cost of $20 for members and student and $30 for non-members $30 includes light refreshments. Please plan to arrive at the Remuera Club, 27-33 Ohinerau Street, Remuera, by 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start.

    “What makes life interesting in Quick Service Restaurants”

       Fritz Meyer is Chief Technical Officer with KFC Oceania and is based in Sydney. He has a wealth of food industry experience in Research and Development, technical leadership and product commercialisation. He holds a BSc from Monash University, a MBA from RMIT and experience at Wharton Business School in Philadelphia, and has worked with multinationals such as Heinz, Mars and Kraft.

    Fritz will discuss a range of challenges to organisations operating in the Quick Service Restaurant sector throughout Australasia, and how KFC and Yum are facing up to some of the challenges of the future. To facilitate an open discussion this event will be open to non-members but is closed to the media and will be conducted under the Chatham House Rule.

    This is the third event in our 2020 Food Leaders Series. The cost is $39 for NZIFST Members and students, and $55 for non-members, and includes a two course dinner.
