Food New Zealand is the official Journal of the New Zealand Institute of Food Science & Technology Inc. The magazine is published under contract to NZIFST.
From 1 August 2020 FoodNZ will be available to new or rejoining members in digital copy only. Existing members are also encouraged to request a switch to a digital copy.
The core content of Food New Zealand is news and features on research, science and technology within the food industry, gathered from all around New Zealand and abroad. This is augmented with coverage of food manufacturing, packaging, processing, food safety, career development and training issues.
NZIFST has its own dedicated section in Food New Zealand, comprising news and information about the organisations' activities, and their merged memberships – Institute Divisions make regular contributions with articles about their areas of interest.
The magazine is published six times a year and is free to members of NZIFST.

Food New Zealand was launched in 2002, building on the foundations established by New Zealand Food Journal and DIANZ's publication Dairy Technology, which were discontinued as independent magazines.
