This event is part of the Auckland Branch FOOD LEADERSHIP series

"RISK = OMG x WTF!"

 Join Glen Neal as he brings you all the news that’s fit to share from Wellington.

Specifically he will cover the FSANZ highlights from 2020 and what lies ahead in 2021. He will provide an overview of current key initiatives, including added sugar labelling, energy labelling on alcohol, caffeine, sports foods, electrolyte drinks, infant formula and new breeding techniques.

Paul Harrison has bravely tasked Glen with being as ‘interesting as possible for a public servant’ and he will therefore attempt to convey political priorities and make some predictions about how the Trans-Tasman food system might be altered in the short-term given the plethora of reviews underway. He will also attempt convey a sense of the strategic challenges facing food regulators.

Last but not least, no talk form Glen would be complete with some insights about the direction consumers want to see the food system take and what that may mean for those in the food industry.

Date: Wednesday 10th February
Location: Remuera Club
Registration: from 6pm
Cost: $25 Members; $35 Non-Members
