Janet Goodman is a UK trained food technologist who has a background in product development in the areas of dairy, dry ingredient mixes and biscuits. She has worked for the New Zealand government agency responsible for implementing and enforcing the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code in New Zealand for 18 years. Her current role as Senior Adviser, Food Labelling has responsibilities for implementing the rules for what can be put in food and beverages and how to label them. Her role sits in the Food and Beverage team at New Zealand Food Safety.
