As an institute, vision and mission statements define our purpose and instill a sense of belonging and identity to all our members. It motivates our committees and volunteers to have the right mindset to achieve success for our institute as well as provide direction/destination of where we want to go and what we want to achieve. By having a clear and relevant vision and mission, it allows us to be aligned on where our resources will go and provides us with an effective guide for making decisions.
The NZIFST Exec and Board have embarked on a journey to refresh our Vision and Mission. We understand that all our actions, activities and member benefits should reflect our purpose and what we stand for and we understand the importance of continuously reviewing and aligning on our purpose to ensure the NZIFST remains relevant and continues to add benefits to its members and the wider food industry.
