Southland Food Industry Networking Event

Kia ora NZIFST Otago-Southland members,

One of the challenges facing the branch has always been the distances across the region.  So an aim of the branch committee is to facilitate more functions and networking opportunities with branch colleagues.

Supported by the local branch committee, Matt Steven and Evelyn Fraser, have been engaging with food industry people in Southland  and recently organised the inaugural Southland Food Industry networking event back in March. This event was a great success with about 40 people turning up to network with colleagues.

We’ve also now locked in the date for the next Southland networking event:

Starting from 6.30pm, Tuesday 9th May at Mataura Valley Milk in Gore.

It would be great for Otago and Dunedin members to also attend to network with colleagues. For those that express interest in travelling we can look at car pooling or transport options, depending on the level of interest.

Please RSVP to Matt Steven (matt.steven@mataura.com) or Evelyn (evelynfraser498@gmail.com) by 4th May. We’ll be holding the event in the plant viewing gallery, so you get to have a bit of a look at the plant as well as enjoy conversation and networking with food industry colleagues.
